Mexican eatery reopens months after fatal crash

"My motives were purely selfish because I wanted it to reopen"

STAMFORD - More than three months after a car drove through the front of Casa Villa, orders for Mexican food poured in almost as if the West Side restaurant had never closed.

Owner Alvino Villa said he did not advertise Tuesday's opening.

'I was having problems with the gas line, so I didn't know when it was going to be finished,' Villa said. 'It just passed inspection yesterday.'
